Yes. The authentication framework used in Cocoon provides these hooks
for exactly those purposes. The portal framework uses the authentication
framework (both the new portal and the old one). So, if you have
developed such a handler for the auth. framework (which should be
not that hard), you can use it everywhere in cocoon.
