I have also = allready made a Portal, but it is not as dynamic and flexible as I wanted it to = be. I have also realized that it is much better in the long term to base your product on an allready exsisting plattform/framework to reduce the maintaince and developement costs. =20 What I wonder is which one of those two I should base my next version of Portal on. Jetspeed or Cocoon's portal engine. As I have understood, Jetspeed can use Cocoon for the content management while itself takes = care of the user managemnet stuff. Has any body any experince with any of those two ?=20 And thanks to all you Cocoon makers :) Armaz Mellati=20 > -----Original Message----- > From: Nicolas Toper [mailto:ntoper@jouve.fr]=20 > Sent: 26. september 2003 10:45 > To: users@cocoon.apache.org > Subject: RE: [Portal] Content Management within a portal? >=20 >=20 > Well it isn't that complicated. >=20 > If you try to figure it out, here is a pointer to an=20 > introduction to the the > portal engine. > http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/07/24/xmlportal.html >=20 > To me there are some things which seems quite complicated but=20 > you could make > some code generators to handle the work. >=20 > Else: use jetspeed (sorry guys :=3D)) >=20 > -----Message d'origine----- > De : Darach Cawley [mailto:dcawley@tssg.org] > Envoy=E9 : vendredi 26 septembre 2003 10:41 > =C0 : users@cocoon.apache.org > Objet : RE: [Portal] Content Management within a portal? >=20 >=20 > one of the guys that's working on this with me, had a look at=20 > this and tried > braking it down and figuring it out but he said he had so=20 > many problems.
