Thank you, David!
It's a good idea.
The problem is that i can't get a cannection with thw data base. Something with my configuration
or driver is not proper.

I have successfully used Cocoon with Informix, but I use other methods of connecting to the
database, I do it through Java code. Here is an excerpt of my pipeline:

Try a small Java program that doesn't use Cocoon, that connects to Informix

Through an input module and JXDom, I access a function call getUrl() that returns a string
that contains the URL to the database connection, of the following type:

I do so, because each user session may have a connection to a different database.

Does anybody know how to configure cocoon in order to work with Informix?
Ihe informix data base is on a remote PC- "profisrv",Informix server name - "ol_profisrv",
database name "eisppbase"
I've done the folowing configuration:

  in cocoon.xconf:

    <jdbc name="eispp">
      <pool-controller min="5" max="10"/>

in web.xml:

<page xmlns:sql="  <>">
    <title>My App page</title>
        <para>Just a static contents</para>
        <execute-query xmlns="  <>">

          select title from sm_State where ID_State='12'
          <!-- here comes the SQL statement or stored procedure -->

                <map:match pattern="*.xml">
                        <map:generate src="xml/{1}.xml"/>
                        <map:transform type="sql">
                               <map:parameter name="use-connection" value="eispp"/>
                               <map:parameter name="show-nr-of-rows" value="true"/>

                        <map:transform src="xsl/style.xsl"/>

After running the application I get this message:

My App page

Just a static contents Failed to obtain connection. Made 5 attempts with 5000ms interval

Is there something that I've missed?

Thank you in advance!
