Checkout the grinder ( http://grinder.sourceforge.net/) . It's a simple java based tool that
simplifies unit/load testing web applications. It provides a simple proxy for recording web
page interaction. It records the actions in a flat file for replay with the grinder tool.

Is there any way to test HTML forms in an automated way with various
combinations of input the same way one uses JUnit to do unit testing of
individual classes?

It'd be great if there were such a tool available for black box testing of
web applications for free or for nominal cost.

Thanks,

Sonny
