Subject RE: Portal authentication problem
Date Wed, 30 Apr 2003 08:50:53 GMT
Hello Paul,

This is exactly what I have done (taking webapp folder of 2.1M1 build and placing in the webapps
folder of Tomcat) to test the portal.

But it doesn't work for me! Have you a suggestion?

I'm using Windows NT, JDK1.3.1 and Tomcat 4.1.12.

The error looks like:

Objet: Re: Portal authentication problem

Is your problem with the portal or simply authentication as your subject title suggests?

For authentication I suggest you use the 2.1 release in CVS rather than 2.0.4 as authentication
is much better
integrated.

I run this on XP with JDK 1.4.0 on Jetty and Tomcat 4.1.12 without problem. For me it was
simply a case of taking the
webapp folder from the 2.1 build and placing in it in the webapps folder on jetty and tomcat
and all worked fine first
time.

For portal work 2.1 is definately the way forward.

HTH

Paul.
