The only sense in which it is not "stable" yet (and therefore not yet even at alpha stage) is the API of some of the features. Flow, for instance, is still under modification. In fact several deadlines have come and gone while that and several other API level issues have been worked out. That said, it is getting very close to alpha release and at that point it wouldn't be too long before things are beta and then released. That's just my gut feeling.
