You need the equals signs in there I think, here's an example that works 
under windows 2000:

   @echo off
   set classpath=d:\bla\foo.jar
   set classpath=%classpath%;d:\x\y.jar
   set classpath=%classpath%;.\z.jar
   echo classpath=%classpath%

Running this correctly outputs:

   classpath=d:\bla\foo.jar;d:\x\y.jar;.\z.jar

Also, making a SUBST on D:\tmp\rauser-cocoon\ as suggested by someone 
else would make this more readable.
