Kweelt is very old and uses Cocoon 1.8.2 - which is even older.

Apart from what is listed on http://xml.apache.org/cocoon1/, there's no 
good chance finding Cocoon1 advice anymore.

If you are serious about XML searching, have a look at 
http://www.w3.org/XML/Query#products
