Vadim, the plot thickens.

I've unearthed cygwin's wget. 
On the 2.0.2 release build it gets all 175958 bytes !
Shame my browsers don't :-<

BUT On the current CVS (HEAD branch) it only gets 32768 bytes.

The opposite of what I would have expected/hoped
