This worked fine for me:

<style>
&lt;!--
.stye { 
	foo: bar; 
}
--&gt;
</style>

Granted, I cant get normal <link rel=stylesheet....> type inclusion to work
properly (everything shows up in black)...so my knowledge of what is going
on on my end vs. your end is lacking....
