I think this works:

             <map:match pattern="home">
                 <map:generate src="content/xml/welcome.xml" />
                 <map:redirect-to resource="transf">
                         <map:parameter name="file" value="welcome"/>
                 </map:redirect-to>
             </map:match>

Haven't tried it though.  Email back if I'm wrong.
