Subject AW: How to add a avalon component to cocoon.xconf
Date Thu, 27 Sep 2001 19:13:37 GMT
Hi
Meanwhile i can answer myself. I didn't
understand that the name of the role must
be the name of a interface. I changed
the entry to:
<component role="com.imkenberg.cocoon.tes.testcomponent"
class="com.imkenberg.cocoon.test.testcomponentImpl"/>

and everything works fine.

Nice that we spoke about it ;)

Betreff: How to add a avalon component to cocoon.xconf

Hi all
I wrote a simpleacvalon compenent i try to use
it inside a action.

I add it to the coocon.xconf:

<component role="testcomponent"
class="com.imkenberg.cocoon.test.testcomponentImpl"/>

and tried to access it from the action:

public void compose(ComponentManager manager) throws
org.apache.avalon.framework.component.ComponentException {
    test=(testcomponent)manager.lookup("testcomponent");
 }

but the component isn't found. In the log I found:

DEBUG   (2001-09-27) 17:49.07:724   [cocoon  ]
 (/cocoon/i18n/simple.xml)
HttpProcessor[8080][4]/ExcaliburComponentSelector:
UnnamedSelector: ComponentSelector could not find the component for hint:
componenttestaction

What did i made wrong ?

Thanx Thorsten
