Yes, we have successfully used both the full DocBook
and the Simplified DocBook with C2 processing. This
assumes that you have installed the DocBook DTDs and
supporting entities on your local system (they are not
distributed with Cocoon).

You will also be interested in a new capability which
has just been added to the development versions of Cocoon.
"Entity resolution using catalogs" provides a mechanism
to define the accessible location on your local filesystem
of each required DTD and other entity. This will also go
into the upcoming C2.0 release.
