Subject XSP : request error

I'm running Cocoon with Tomcat standalone on Linux Suse 6.4

I'm trying to use request on a xsp page but I've this error when I launch it:

java.lang.Exception: XSP Java Compiler: Compilation failed for
42: Undefined variable or class name: request
  login = request.getParameter("login");
44: Undefined variable or class name: request
  password = request.getParameter("password");
2 errors at
at org.apache.cocoon.processor.xsp.XSPProcessor.process(
at org.apache.cocoon.Engine.handle(
at org.apache.cocoon.Cocoon.service(
at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.doService(
at org.apache.tomcat.core.Handler.service(
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ServletWrapper.service(
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.internalService(
at org.apache.tomcat.core.ContextManager.service(
at org.apache.tomcat.service.http.HttpConnectionHandler.processConnection(

at org.apache.tomcat.util.ThreadPool$

Some people could help me?
