I think Weblogic docs will say something about directory where WAR files
should be placed.

WAR deployment is part of Servlet2.2. spec.

If WLS allows to deploy WARS, it should have predefined drop location for
them,
any of them, cocoon.war just one of them.

What is this location for WLS - I don't know. In Tomcat3.2 it is webapps.
