Somehow your webserver recognises the servlet zone, but it does not
forward all XML files to the cocoon servlet.

Here's a piece from my mod_jk.conf:

Alias /cocoon "/usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.1/webapps/cocoon"
<Directory "/usr/local/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.1/webapps/cocoon">
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
</Directory>

JkMount /cocoon/servlet/* ajp13
JkMount /cocoon/*.jsp ajp13
JkMount /cocoon/*.xml ajp13

<Location "/cocoon/WEB-INF/">
    AllowOverride None
    deny from all
</Location>

<Location "/cocoon/META-INF/">
    AllowOverride None
    deny from all
</Location>

If you edit the path's this should work fine.
