IE 5.0 thinks that it knows what to do with .XML files. It often times
tries to apply the stylesheet locally instead of allowing the WebServer to
do it. Try changing the extensions that Cocoon listens for, or add a ? at
the end of the file name such as:
http://localhost:7001/cocoon/samples/index.xml?

It may solve your problem.

Hi,

I restarted the weblogic server and trying to access the samples (from IE
5.0) like

http://localhost:7001/cocoon/samples/index.xml

The page came up with the following string

type="text/xml"

A table with two rows and the first row containing the test "Cocoon Live
Show"

Below that a copy right notice

The a horizontal line.

Thanks and regards,
Satheesh

Did you start the WebLogic server and access the WebLogic WebServer or are
you just opening the file in a browser?

Subject: Installation problems

Hi,

I am trying to install Cocoon on the following platform.

Windows NT 4.0
Weblogic 5.1.0
Sun JDK 1.3

Everything seems to have been done properly. Now when I try to access
index.xml from samples directory, Only an empty box appears. I can't see
any errors or log files. The servlet does not seems to have been started.
Have someone attempted this before? Any useful tips for me?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Satheesh
