Subject RE: How to integrate Cocoon 1.8 with either Borland Inprise or J2 EE application server in order to be able to use EJB technology.

I tried Cocoon with Weblogic 5.1. There are basically two configurations in which you can use
EJBs from Cocoon.

1. EJBs delopyed on Weblogic of one server machine. Cocoon is installed on another server
machine which runs Weblogic 5.1)(alternatively any other web server with servlet engine).

2. EJBs and Cocoon installed on the same weblogic server.

The second option needs some extra tweaks to deploy your EJBs, due to the Cocoon classpath
conflicts with Weblogic class path.

Hi.

Has anybody ever tried to integrate Cocoon with Borland Inprise or J2EE application servers?

I'd like to know how to do it.

P.S: What about the use of EJB from Cocoon? Is it necessary to install Cocoon on an application
server in order to use EJB? What about the possibility of installing Cocoon on a Web Server
and thus acting on a separated application server?

Thank you.

Best regards.
