Once again, u're the man...

we use the xml tag but i moved VD.xml to VD.xsp  
It worked.....

So then i went on to my main problem:-

The site i really want the dynamic xml from has the following URL:-

1) encoded the url by hand (swap & for &)
<xsp:page language="java"


did not work to encode the url

2) i think i need to login to the web server...i tried using
"http://username:password@server:port/....."  this does not
seems to think username is the do i do this another way?

I just tried ur samples it worked. but after changing this though.
On my box i dont use xml extension, i use xsp extension instead.
When I name both vd and dynvd as vd.xsp, dynvd.xsp it didn't work. It
me some error.
But when i changed vd.xsp to vd.xml it worked. The problem was when i
vd.xsp, the request went through cocoon to get the page, but cocoon
tries to
transform it, and adds a
