using > above yields:
SAXParseException: The value of attribute "select" must not contain the '<' character.

and using &gt; instead yields:
XSLProcessorException: Can't have more than one root on a DOM!
 and
SAXException: Can't have more than one root on a DOM!

what gives? :)
