Subject Re: XSP Error

I spoke too soon. Had I read my "Java and XML" book I cleverly purchased before running to
the mailing list I would have found my answer and a sample. Thanks Brett McLaughlin.

>>> JVANETTEN@ALLMERICA.COM 8/21/2000 2:11:07 PM >>>
Apache: 1.3.12
Jserv: 1.1.2
Cocoon: 1.7.4
jdk: 1.2.2
jsdk: 2.0

I am experimenting with XSP and all the sample that come with cocoon are working but when
I try to run the following:

?--
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<?cocoon-process type="xsp"?>

<xsp:page language="java" xmlns:xsp="http://www.apache.org/1999/XSP/Core">
  <page title="Time of Day">

  <xsp:logic>
    String timeOfDay = (
      new SimpleDateFormat("aa")
    ).format(new Date());
  </xsp:logic>

    <p>
      To the best of my knowledge, it's now
      <!-- Substitute time of day here -->
      <xsp:expr>timeOfDay</xsp:expr>
    </p>
  </page>
</xsp:page>
?--

I get  the following error

?--
Error found handling the request.
java.lang.Exception: XSP Java Compiler: Compilation failed for _XSP.java
66: Class _home._httpd._html._demos._Demo1.SimpleDateFormat not found.
      new SimpleDateFormat("aa")

Am I missing an include statement somewhere ?? Could someone help me out?

Thanks
Jim
