Subject ? about using XSP with a custom producer
Date Wed, 21 Jun 2000 17:56:52 GMT

situation:
  1) I have a server program that generates XML from
       a database of animals
in a zoological
collection
  2) I have a cocoon producer that connects to that server.
  3) I use cocoon to generate html and thus use a web
       browser as a database
client.

problem:
   1) I'd like to display dynamically generated data.
        a) specifically
an animals
age calculated by

current date minus birth date

question:
   1) At what point should XSP get into the act?
        a) should
the initial URL
be to an XSP page

which somehow includes output from my

producer?

b) or should the initial
URL be to my producer

which generates an XSP page?

c) or should I be
doing something completely

different?
