Subject Re: Multiple (human) language support
Date Wed, 31 May 2000 22:35:27 GMT

i'm thinking about multi-language with xml:lang of a lang attribute and the
processing speed with many languages and long text paragraphs.

instead of doing everything at the runtime i'd like to try a mixed
approach. it is to generate from the multi-languare xml file a xml file for
each language using cocoon in command line mode.

so in develpment stage use a two-phase xslt in the runtime, then in the
production environment use cocoon from command line. that could be useful also
to generate some static content pages.

or do you think that the cache system can do everything pretty fast? perhaps i
can cheat the cache system with a mix of symlink and urlrewrite so that it
generates a cache entry for each language.
