Subject problem using Xalan and Xerces with Cocoon 1.5
Date Tue, 04 Jan 2000 16:22:11 GMT
The install doc says that Cocoon comes preconfigured with Xalan and Xerces.
However, if you look at the cocoon.properties file you can see that this is
clearly not the case. It uses OpenXML and XSL:P by default. It does a
great job of it but I tried to use Xalan and Xerces with the settings that
follow and got a ClassCastException. Anybody able to get this to work?

parser = org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser
producer.parameter = producer
producer.type.file = org.apache.cocoon.producer.FileProducer
producer.type.dummy = org.apache.cocoon.example.DummyProducer
producer.default = file
processor.type.dcp = org.apache.cocoon.processor.dcp.DCPProcessor
processor.type.sql = org.apache.cocoon.processor.sql.SQLProcessor
processor.type.xslt = org.apache.xalan.xslt.XSLTProcessor
formatter.type.text/xml    = org.apache.xalan.xpath.xml.FormatterToXML
formatter.type.text/html   = org.apache.xalan.xpath.xml.FormatterToHTML
formatter.type.text/wml    =
org.apache.cocoon.formatter.wml.XSLPWMLFormatter
formatter.type.text/xhtml  =
org.apache.cocoon.formatter.xhtml.XSLPXHTMLFormatter
formatter.type.text/xslfo  = org.apache.cocoon.formatter.pdf.FOPFormatter
