Dear Wiki user,

You have subscribed to a wiki page or wiki category on "Cocoon Wiki" for change notification.

The following page has been changed by John Schult:

The comment on the change is:
Tried the previous fix for Fedora 4, unfortunately it was not very current.

   * '''[ Linux Fedora Core 1, 2 or 3]''': Comes with own versions
for {{{java, javac, jar}}} and optionally for {{{ant}}}. You need to remove the links placed
in {{{/usr/bin}}} for this files. All these files are pointing to {{{/etc/alternatives}}}
and from there point to {{{/usr/share/java/libgcj-java*}}}. Then read [:Cocoon2.1m2SetupLinuxredhat8.0]
- * '''[ Linux Fedora Core 4]''': Similar to FC1/2/3 but Ant is
preinstalled, and the binary in {{{/usr/bin/ant}}} is a regular file. The {{{java*}}} binaries
in {{{/usr/bin}}} point ultimately at {{{/usr/lib/jvm/jre-1.4.2-gcj/bin}}}. Remove or rename
them, and then proceed with [:Cocoon2.1m2SetupLinuxredhat8.0]
+  *  '''[ Linux Fedora Core 4]''': You need to add {{{--noconfig}}}
before {{{-logger}}} to the ant command (line 41) in {{{}}}. You do ''not'' have
to rename any Java or Ant executables. This works with {{{/etc/alternatives}}} just fine.
   * '''JBoss 3.01RC1''' : Easy install, no customization necessary. Just drop cocoon.war
into ''server/default/deploy'' directory. Thanks to Vegan Portal for information. This Information
should be updated. With JDK1.4 it is still NOT running.
