Subject Looking up pipeline component via avalon fails
Date Thu, 05 Apr 2007 10:10:36 GMT
Hi,

I am using a meta-pipeline implementation that looks up the "real" pipeline
from the avalon service manager depending on some configuration
(http://www.mindquarry.org/repos/mindquarry-webapp/trunk/mindquarry-webapp-resources/src/main/java/com/mindquarry/webapp/pipelines/RunningModeDependentPipeline.java).

This worked with cocoon-2.2 before M1 and in the context of block servlets
(old blocks-fw); but now, running cocoon from trunk with servlet-services, I
get a problem: The exception "reader is already set" comes up in
setReader(), which looks like the pipeline component uses is already used in
another part of the request. The sitemap setup uses a servlet:super: to
retrieve a resource that is simply read in the super servlet via the
ResourceReader and there the exception is thrown.

Maybe the container arrangement has changed (global containers vs.
sitemap-local containers)? Or something with the servlet services is
different than with the blocks-fw regarding sitemap processing?

Alex

PS: Sorry for being in non-stop-questioning-mode ;-)
