Subject [jira] Commented: (COCOON-1890) Provide a tool to update artifact versions within multiple POMs

Reinhard Poetz commented on COCOON-1890:

First, that's good news that this bug will be fixed soon.

On the vetoing issue: I don't think that anybody here around should throw around with votes/vetos
without even having a voting. (yes, I'm guilty myself and learned not to do so anymore).
You have the right to do so (I don't know of any policy that forbids answering with +1/0/-1)
but I don't think that this leads to productive work - especially in this case as Andreas'
script will never be part of a release.

> When doing releases with Maven you have to modify many POMs to reflect the correct artifact
> The problem is, that the whole repository should always use the consistent artifact versions.
> Reinhard talked to me about this problem and I tried to put togeather a quick script
combined with an XSL which could do this task.
> Attached is a first version (docs and comments within the files) which does the job.
> It would be great, if somebody could give it a try and provide some feedback.
