Ok, upto 2.1.7 the behaviour of the mail transformer has been to externalize 
the cocoon: protocol, and afaik this worked. After the release, I realized that 
in some cases directly using the cocoon: protocol would be a nicer, so I added 
the configurable switch while preserving the default.
So, if one or the other (setting the switch to true or false) doesn't work 
anymore, we should fix this; but again, leave the default to externalize the 
cocoon protocol for compatibility reasons.
