The main advantage is that it is less intrusive than the profiling block. By 
adding one generator declaration and a simple transformation of the generator 
element of a pipeline, profiling information will be output.

Another advantage is that the information generated is more specific. Only 
pipelines modified by the user will output profilining information.

Also the impact on the performance and the memory needs are very minimal 
because no data is buffered.

I know this generator generates less detail than the profiling block, but it 
has helped me to find the hotspots in aggregate pipelines and pipelines of 
which the generator read another pipeline. I still needed to figure out which 
part of the problem pipeline caused the actual delay, but this was trivial once 
I knew were to look.
