Ok, but what does this scheduler do? I thought - perhaps I'm wrong - that it 
simply is invoked every 30 minutes (configurable) and then cleans up the 
continuations. - If it is only that, we can simply add our own implementation - 
some lines of code, and have no dependency at all.
Or does it do more?
