Don't know if I have also fi:group nested into case elements, but I have 
definitely styled my widgets nested in case elements correctly. I can 
have a look tomorrow. What I want to say is, that there is nothing I 
know of which should prevent this from working.

No, this is a known bug and happens for me too. It's a problem of the 
CForms transformer. I hope I'm not the only one knowing this bug ;-)
