I guess= conceptually this really belongs within the Avalon-Excalibur-store= framework, as it will sit along side AbstractJispFilesystemStore rather= than on top of it.=0D Do you agree, or do you feel that this should be implemented outside of the= core Excalibur framework? Comments appreciated :) Corin -----Original Message----- From: Bertrand Delacretaz [mailto:bdelacretaz@apache.org]=0D Sent: Tuesday, 2 March 2004 8:08 p.m. To: dev@cocoon.apache.org Subject: Re: JCS Based Cache Corin, > ...Someone mentioned JCS as a good solution - and it strikes me as > being fairly simple to extend the JCS AbstractDiskCache =0D > (http://jakarta.apache.org/turbine/jcs/xref/org/apache/jcs/auxiliary/=0D > disk/AbstractDiskCache.html.)=A0=A0 I hope to start work on this in the = =0D > short term - today or tomorrow ideally. Has anyone given this any more =0D > thought recently?... From what we know of it, your application is certainly a good real-life =0D test of the caching/persistent store system. Moving to JCS sounds like =0D a very good idea, also because IIUC it won't require JDK 1.4 (as NIO =0D would). Nothing against 1.4 but if there's a good solution that doesn't =0D require it, all the better. -Bertrand =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D= =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D CAUTION: This e-mail and any attachment(s) contains information that is intended to be read only by the named recipient(s).
