Subject [OT] Code Reading: The Open Source Perspective
Date Tue, 12 Aug 2003 12:01:42 GMT
Hi All,

While reading Dr Dobs (Sept 03) the column "Reading Code" by Gregory V.
(page 68) discusses a book (re subject) by Diomidis Spinellis.

To quote:

"[Spinellis] walks through hundreds of examples of C, C++, Java, and Perl,
drawn from dozens of open-source projects such as Apache [I assume httpd],
NetBDS, and Cocoon. Each example illustrates a point about how programs
are actually built."

Has anyone read this? Is it worth the $45? (it's ISBN incase anyone's
interested is; 0201799405)
