Fair enough - but that does not explain why it works when
1) the internal sitemap matcher is called directly (ie., not through
XSPUtil.includeSource)
2) every subsequent time, irrespective of access route.

Could this be similar to the Xalan incremental processing problem when
exceptions are thrown?
