           Summary: JXForms validator rejects null value for numeric field
           Product: Cocoon 2
           Version: Current CVS 2.1
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Major
          Priority: Other
         Component: general components
        AssignedTo: cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: u.cei@cbim.it

Using JXForms, if your model has an attribute of a numeric type, like
java.lang.Double for instance, you cannot leave the corresponding form field
empty. Doing so generates a validations error of this type:

Cannot convert value of class java.lang.String to type class java.lang.Double;
empty String
