To avoid breaking all Source implementations out there, it might be better to
introduce a new interface for this purpose, that a Source can choose to
implement (if it supports relative URI resolving).

To avoid that each Source implementor needs to rewrite this logic from scratch
(which is the same for all schemes that follow the RFC, and only slightly
different for the cocoon and context protocols), there should be a default
implementation of this. Not really difficult to write, but might take some time
nonetheless. Are you volunteering?
