I agree that it is due time to go Alpha.
The XMLForm is now up to date with the W3C draft and can be released as soon
as the xmlform.org code replaces the obsolete 2.1 HEAD code as a new block.
I am overloaded lately, and cannot put 20 straight hours in it to get it
done, but I will assist if somebody wants to take charge.
