I hope that people interested in STX have a good chance to experiment with it.  Hopefully,
once you've got the basics down, you'll never feel tempted to implement an XMLFilter again.

The STX list (sign up at the link above) is quite responsive to questions and suggestions.
 I'm not sure if Oliver Becker (one of the STX spec core authors and the Joost developer)
tracks this list, but he is quite responsive to bug reports and suggestions for Joost as well.
 The test suite for the Joost project contains many examples.

An intro article on STX will be out sometime soon (I'll send an announcement here if desired),
but if you read Japanese, you can find some examples and discussion in the January 2003 issue
of JavaWorld (Japanese edition).
