Ok, I'll apply your patch to C2.1 and probably to C2.0.x today or tomorrow (as 
I have time).
Note, that i18n transformer in C2.1 is Cachable now and the cache validity does 
not depend on the resource bundle validity (it's in my todo list). This 
basicaly means that you'll get cached response even if you generate 
XMLResourceBundle on fly for each request.

To avoid this, you should implement Cachable interface in XMLResourceBundle and 
use its cache validity object to generate i18n transformer's cache validity.

(Another option is to use caching-points in the sitemap, ask in cocoon-dev for 
details)
