Yes, that was the intention for creating the ChainMetaModule. See how it is
configured in cocoon.xconf and add a similar configuration for your case.

Now they work (at least was working a couple of days ago) and there is a
sample at /cocoon/samples/modules/.

P.S. Carsten committed something like a property container today and it
looks very similar to ChainMetaModule, though I have no idea what are the
differences.
