No, the suggestion from Christoph doesn't work for me.
Christoph, did you try my suggestion and than forgot
to change it back to original in AbstractTextSerializer.java?

One other problem with the xalanBugFixStylesheet:
I produce with Cocoon large amount of data, about 50MB of xml,
without any transformation, because Xalan is not able to handle
large amount of data: OutOfMemoryException ...
But with this transformation step from BugFix I never get my data
through the pipeline (at least with xalan).
