As you can see from this link, there is a Sun-JDK1.3 available
for FreeBSD as official port. There is also the version
from Blackdown available.

http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/ports/java/jdk13/

Don't use FreeBSD though, so I can't verify if it's actually
working.
