But, I've seen the 'Failed to load...' message on other occasions, independently from Cocoon (simple offline XSLT transformations with Saxon, I think). And I always had written 'iso8859-1' instead of 'ISO-8859-1'. And from my "very" limited experiences, I can only remember having seen the character set noted as "ISO-8859-1" or "ISO-8859-15". And I'm really using Saxon instead of Xalan in my installation.
