Ok, so you need to define in one place parameters to Components that need to be 
Parametrized with the same values.

Since you correctly find it incorrect to specify the same things over and over 
to all these components, you want to set them in one place only.

I see 	http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=avalon-dev&m=101559574528413&w=2 (and 
subsequent replies to the thread) as the cleanest and easiest solution.

Containment is better but far from Cocoon now. The ECM is being used as a 
Container now, so it makes sense.

Also, we need something that works not only with servlets, so we must not use 
the Servlet as a solution.

We could create a Component to add as a Parameter store, but it's a hack anyway 
IMHO.

The only other alternative to the Context is the possibility of enhancing the 
ECM with the ability of declaring groups of Components that share common 
parameters, but it's possibly too much work.

Berin, this is an Avalon issue: what do you think?
