That worked!  You guys are the best!!

Thanks Christian and Vadim.

Indeed very strange that xalan cuts off the explicit
ns setting from the query string.  I don't have any
suggestions on how we could work around this other
than what Christian has already done.  Anyone else?

This is so cool that it's working. :-)
