<esql:query> does not expand contents to valid java string

Summary: <esql:query> does not expand contents to valid java
                    string
           Product: Cocoon 2
           Version: Current CVS
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: general components
        AssignedTo: cocoon-dev@xml.apache.org
        ReportedBy: lavoro@arsenio.net

<esql:query> does not expands special java characters such as " into equivalent
sequence \". So if you cannot do:

<esql:query>SELECT * FROM "Foo_Fee"</esql:query>

because the string is expanded to:

"SELECT * FROM "Foo_Fee""

and not to: "SELECT * FROM \"Foo_Fee\""
