Subject Re: Disabling Batik for Cocoon
Date Mon, 26 Nov 2001 02:32:43 GMT
I know this has been answered in the users list plenty of times and that this
is a high traffic list. Maybe it's time to add this to the install document,
because if you are using headless X, which many cocoon1 users were it's bound
to come up when making the switch to cocoon2.

>From you can get an awt replacement that doesn't need X. It's gpl'd so i don't think it can be included in the
distribution. Of course, GPL is fine to use since i'm not distributing anything.

Unpack the jars into a place where jdk will be able to use them--
$JAVAHOME/JRE/classes works.

Then add to your tomcat startup script
export CATALINA_OPTS='-Dawt.toolkit=com.eteks.awt.PJAToolkit \
-Djava.awt.graphicsenv=com.eteks.java2d.PJAGraphicsEnvironment \

(catalina_opts if it's 4, tomcat_opts if it's 3 and all the svg wonders
should now work headless.

Should i xmlize this and submit a patch to something?
