Subject PATCH: document-v10.dtd with svg entities for images
Date Thu, 20 Sep 2001 22:01:40 GMT
Hi all:
Here a simple patch for document-v10.dtd (cocoon_20_branch) which
allow to use svg images at same level of image tag.
This patch imports svg.dtd (included into the attach) loaded from
w3c's web site
(http://www.w3.org/TR/2000/CR-SVG-20000802/DTD/svg-20000802.dtd)
With these modifications document-v10.dtd could use <svg> tags like
presentation slides exported by OpenOffice. This approach has several
benefits:
   - Directly includes images into document that could be extracted by
Fragment Extractor.
   - Search a given text into the content of images, like labels or
descriptions.
   Etc.
  Here an example of this:
(document including Fig1 as svg format and extracted by Fragment
Extractor.)
(Raw xml format from DBPrism Cocoon2 Generator, shows <svg> tags.)
In this CMS you could search a text like "Fig" which is included only
into svg figure.
  Best regards, Marcelo.
