but one can set a default namespace for the sitemap:

<sitemap xmlns="http://apache.org/cocoon/sitemap/1.0">

instead of

<map:sitemap xmlns:map="http://apache.org/cocoon/sitemap/1.0">

if we go ahead and make all sitemap configuration elements live in the map
namespace. just a thought.
