Subject RE: Cocoon2 + fo2pdf Problem
Date Mon, 07 May 2001 18:56:17 GMT
Hi Georg,
	Your doing lots of things in one go so you can't tell where things
break.
Try doing things in more atomic steps:
1. Generate your simple.xsp with Cocoon into plain XML and save it as a file
like "stepA.xml"
2. Run Xalan with glossar/xsl/glossar.xsl on "stepA.xml" and save the
results to "stepB.xml"
3. Run Xalan with glossar/Test/glossar_pdf.xsl on "stepB.xml" and save the
results to "stepC.fo"
4. Run FOP on "stepC.fo" and save it as "stepD.pdf"
5. View "stepD.pdf" in Acrobat

If you get all these steps working, then the problem is in your sitemap.

Subject: Cocoon2 + fo2pdf Problem

Hello,

i have a problem with fo2pdf and Cocoon2

this is the code from my sitemap.xmap

-- cut --

   <map:match pattern="glossar.pdf">
    <map:generate type="serverpages" src="glossar/Test/simple.xsp"/>
    <map:transform src="glossar/xsl/glossar.xsl" />
    <map:transform src="glossar/Test/glossar_pdf.xsl"/>
    <map:serialize type="fo2pdf"/>
   </map:match>

   <map:match pattern="glossar1a.pdf">
    <map:generate type="serverpages" src="glossar/Test/simple.xsp"/>
    <map:transform src="glossar/xsl/glossar.xsl" />
    <map:transform src="glossar/Test/glossar_pdf.xsl"/>
    <map:serialize/>
   </map:match>

   <map:match pattern="glossar1b.pdf">
    <map:generate src="glossar/glossar1.fo"/>
    <map:serialize type="fo2pdf"/>
   </map:match>

   <map:match pattern="glossar2a.pdf">
    <map:generate type="serverpages" src="glossar/Test/simple.xsp"/>
    <map:transform src="glossar/xsl/glossar.xsl" />
    <map:serialize/>
   </map:match>

   <map:match pattern="glossar2b.pdf">
    <map:generate src="glossar/glossar1.xml"/>
    <map:transform src="glossar/Test/glossar_pdf.xsl"/>
    <map:serialize type="fo2pdf"/>
   </map:match>

-- cut --

when i enter glossar.pdf in Internet Explorer or Netscape, Acrobat starts,
but i see nothing

when i enter glossar1a.pdf i got source code.. this code is saved as
glossar1.fo... when i enter glossar1b.pdf, i see what i want
it works with glossar2a.pdf and glossar2b.pdf

but glossar.pdf doesn't work... i think cocoon2 couldn't work with two
transforms and serialize type="fo2pdf"...
is this right?
how can i solve this?

regards
  Georg
